Experience Luxury Living in Leland – Tour Our Open Model Home!

You can now experience Hagood’s Harbour Town III in the Bluffs on the Cape Fear in person. Let’s look at what makes this model, and this gated community so popular.

Magnificence from the Ground Up

From the moment you step on the deep front porch, exquisite details catch your eye. The crushed-shell finish. The carriage lights. The stately columns and the distinctive James Hardie ceiling.

The interior greets you with a two-story foyer, presided over by the balcony of the upstairs lounge, with a dramatic coffered ceiling above. The coffered-ceiling design continues in an open-plan great room with rich, natural hardwood floors.

A chef’s kitchen, filled with natural light, perfectly blends luxury and functionality. In one of Hagood’s most popular configurations, all kitchen components line the outside walls, leaving a central, oversized island in the middle.

Splendid Spaces Abound!

The Harbour Town III includes a four-season room with walls of floor-to-ceiling windows with gorgeous views of nature. The primary suite has a stunning ensuite with a long dual vanity, twin backlit mirrors, and a frameless glass zero-entry shower. On the second floor, a covered deck invites you to relax and enjoy the view.

Down below, an oversized two-car garage has a handy golf cart door. Residents of the Bluffs revel in cruising through the wide-open neighborhood on golf carts, visiting friends, stopping for refreshments at the clubhouse, and parking to laze away sunny days at a massive lakefront pool.

Outdoor Living at Its Best

With mild winters and balmy summers, the coastal Carolinas have some of America’s most desirable weather. Making it the perfect place to enjoy outdoor activities, of which there are plenty at The Bluffs!

Over 600 acres are available for roaming. Around 25% of the community is protected green space, with nature trails winding through tall, mature trees and flowering shrubs. A private fishing lake, with a launch for paddle boats and kayaks, is stocked with bass and bream.

Boating enthusiasts love the private marina and boat launch alongside a waterfront park with shade pavilions. A 25-minute boat ride down the Cape Fear River delivers you to historic Downtown Wilmington!

Hagood Homes Visits Carousel Child Advocacy Center

Hagood Homes is no stranger to the communities of the Lower Cape Fear. With the work done through our nonprofit organization Hagood Hope for Children, we have been privileged to become acquainted with a number of organizations that have truly benefited the region. One recent afternoon, we were invited to join the team of the Carousel Child Advocacy Center in Wilmington, an agency long supported by Hagood Homes.

Members of the team got a closer look at the facility and met members of the staff, who gave an in-depth view of the work done on behalf of those it serves.

The Carousel Child Advocacy Center is called to aid child survivors of abuse and neglect, and their families, whether it is through victim support, medical services and forensic interviews, therapeutic services, case management, or a host of other activities that ensure that children who are survivors of abuse can heal, recover, thrive, and shine.

And most of all, Carousel Center professionals are advocates when children of abuse don’t have a voice of their own.

There are many reasons the Cape Lookout is our most popular floor plan! Some include a dedicated study off the main entrance and a large screened-in porch. A chef’s kitchen integrates with a great room featuring a twelve-foot-high ceiling, flowing to an ample dining space in an open-plan design.

The primary suite is a light-filled sanctuary with a sweeping bay window under a high-volume ceiling. The spaciousness continues with a dual-vanity ensuite with a zero-entry shower and the walk-in closet of your dreams!

The second story acts like an independent apartment, perfect for guests. A large lounge, a cozy guest suite, and a full bath create a separate sanctuary within the home.

The Harbour Side

Aptly named to reside in Oyster Harbour, the Harbour Side plan was a Diamond Award winner at the 2021 Wilmington Parade of Homes. Why the accolade? The cathedral ceiling in a spacious great room grabs attention. As does a four-seasons room with walls of windows and space for both dining and seating areas. How about a chef’s kitchen with an oversized island and a farmhouse sink under a pair of windows? Not to mention the gorgeous hardwood floors, custom millwork throughout, and many other design details that capture your eye.

Hagood Homes Supports Transitional Housing Efforts in Brunswick County

Through its nonprofit organization Hagood Hope for Children, Hagood Homes recently donated $15,000 to the Brunswick Partnership for Housing’s Build Hope Campaign initiative, marking a significant step forward in addressing affordable housing challenges in Brunswick County. Funds will not only help retire the mortgage that exists on its Southport transitional housing facility, but it will enable the organization to move forward with its plans for expansion.

The Brunswick Partnership for Housing provides support in three key areas – emergency shelter for families with children, transitional housing for families, and advocacy for workforce housing.

According to Patrick Kennedy, President of Hagood Homes, supporting the transitional housing efforts in Southport was a natural fit for both organizations.

“We have committed our lives to housing. Home is where we live, raise families, and build a life,” said Kennedy. “I can’t imagine not having a home. We’re happy to give back in a way that can give a family a permanent place they can call home.”

Hagood Hope for Children receives a donation of $2,000 from every home the company builds, and according to Kennedy, 90 percent of Hagood homes are built in Brunswick County.

“Our homeowners come to Brunswick County and build a new life here,” he said. “It’s important to us that they are happy here and know they are part of a strong, caring, community.”

The Build Hope campaign, aimed at retiring the mortgage on the Southport facility, is a key initiative for BPH. With a remaining balance of $30,000 at the time of the discussion, Hagood’s contribution has halved this burden, demonstrating a tangible impact on the Partnership’s efforts.

Sally Learned, Executive Director of the Brunswick Partnership for Housing, expressed gratitude for the generosity of Hagood Hope for Children, highlighting how this donation brings the organization closer to its goal of paying off the mortgage for its building. This collaboration reflects the strength of the community and its collective efforts to address housing challenges and support those in need.

About Hagood Hope for Children

In July of 2004, founders Jim and Troy Kenny created a non-profit organization, Hagood Hope For Children. The mission is to help provide basic necessities for life, food, clothing and shelter, for children around the world, while exposing them to the love of our lord Jesus Christ. The Hagood Homes foundation has donated more than $1.6 million over the last 20 years.
