Catherine’s Cove New Model Home: The Pebble Cove

We’re pleased to announce the completion of a model home at Catherine’s Cove! The model, which is our brand-new Pebble Cove plan, is located at 764 Scorpion Drive, Wilmington, N.C. 28411. We invite you contact us at (910) 444-1122 to schedule an appointment to tour our model and the community! This home and our community are full of amenities and features that are ideal for today’s buyers.

The Pebble Cove offers 2,188 square feet of living space. It features four bedrooms, with three on the main level and an additional bedroom, full bathroom and walk-in attic upstairs. Buyers can expect the same superior living experience as with other Catherine’s Coves homes, with features in the Pebble Cove that include a low-maintenance exterior, low thresholds, wide doors and an irrigation system.

Open Floor plan, Natural Light and Premium Hardwood Floors

When you walk in the door of the Pebble Cove your eye is drawn to the main living area and its spacious open floor plan. The common areas, including the living room, dining room and kitchen, offer natural light and hardwood floors throughout. Dual built-ins and a tile surround are custom touches that make the gas log fireplace a true focal point.

Chef Kitchen

The kitchen is located toward the back of the open floor plan. The granite countertops and tile backsplash are showstoppers in this fully outfitted chef’s kitchen. Large windows with nature views are positioned behind the sink. Another feature is the kitchen’s oversized center island, which is the perfect spot to gather or prepare meals. Aside from premium appliances and tons of cabinet space, the kitchen offers an entry to the back porch that will appeal to buyers who truly love outdoor living. The porch’s easy access to the kitchen makes entertaining or enjoying a meal outdoors even easier.

Master Suite

The master bedroom suite is conveniently located on the main floor. However, it’s tucked away from the main living spaces, giving residents a bit of privacy. The master suite is well-appointed with a walk-in closet, double vanity, matte marble countertops and luxurious-sized, zero-entry shower.

Oversized Laundry & Drop Zone

A great feature that makes the Pebble Cove stand out is that features a large laundry area and convenient drop zone. There is plenty of space in the laundry room to store cleaning supplies and linens. Plus, the signature drop zone is a unique Hagood Homes’ feature where you can conveniently keep daily essentials such as purses, coats and more!

Energy-Efficiency Features

Buyers can rest easy knowing that the spray foam insulation is applied to all exterior walls and extends to the roof of the Pebble Cove for improved energy efficiency. From energy cost savings to comfort, there are many benefits that spray foam insulation provides. Whether it’s 40 degrees or 90 degrees outside, you’ll experience little or no temperature difference between the main floor and the home’s oversized, floored attic space. Plus, like all Catherine Cove homes, the Pebble Cove is ecoSelect and HERO certified!

Outdoor Living

The Pebble Cove is perfect for entertaining with features such as a spacious front porch, open living area and screened back porch with crush shell finish.

Featured Plan: Harbour Town III

The Harbour Town III is the latest iteration of the Harbour Town home plan. While the home has the same classic coastal style and expansive, open feel buyers have come to love in other Harbour Town homes, there are a few unique features that distinguish this plan from others.

Larger Family Room

The open floorplan of the Harbour Town III is designed to bring families and friends together. This home features the largest family room of any of the Harbour Town plans at 15 feet, 11 inches wide by 18 feet, 9 inches in length. That’s nearly 300 square feet for the family room alone. But keep in mind that the home’s open concept means that the family room flows right into the dining area and kitchen. This gives maximum space for gathering and making memories!

Additional Bedroom on Main Floor

The Harbour Town III features four bedrooms. All Harbour Town plans feature an upstairs guest suite, but the Harbour Town III has the master bedroom and two guest suites on the main floor. Buyers can use the fourth bedroom for overnight guests. Or they could use the space for an office, craft space or exercise room. The possibilities are endless!

Centrally Located Laundry

In the Harbour Town III, the laundry room is centrally located near the three downstairs bedrooms. In other iterations of the plan, the laundry room is connected to the master bedroom walk-in closet. The centrally located laundry is configured with custom cabinets and extended areas for folding clothes. There is also plenty of storage space in the laundry room for cleaning supplies or linens.

Featured Plan: Harbour Town II

Classic coastal style with an expansive, open feel define the Harbour Town II home plan. Custom millwork, cathedral beam ceilings and its seamless integration with outdoor living spaces are some of the hallmarks of the Harbour Town II. Our premiere model of this plan is featured in Compass Pointe in Leland, N.C. This custom built North Carolina home was featured in both the Cape Fear and Brunswick County Parade of Homes in 2019. We’re proud to say that it won the Gold Award for Detached Homes 594,000 – 624,000 square feet in 2019. Plus, the master bathroom earned Best Feature Judges Choice Awards in both Parade of Homes events. Read on to see what earned these accolades for Harbour Town II.

A Warm Coastal Greetings

An oversized two-car, carriage-style garage and large covered front porch are prominent features that catch the eye of visitors. A unique feature to the Harbor Town II is the custom arbors that adorn several first-floor windows.

Custom Built Homes North Carolina-Entrance

Details Up, Down and All Around

Attention to detail and refined interior appointments are abundant in every direction. As you enter the front door, you are greeted by an open two-story foyer. Natural light streams onto the foyer’s rich hardwoods from the front door and three picture frame windows above it. Coffered, vaulted ceilings, wainscoting and crown molding are all premium features that come standard in the Harbour Town II. As you look up at the iron spindles on the second floor railings, you’ll also see a beautiful pendant light and custom ceiling millwork that give the home a refined elegance.

Custom Built Homes North Carolina-Kitchen

A Kitchen Design for Gathering Around

The open floorplan of the Harbour Town II is designed to bring families together. There is no better place than the kitchen to gather for home-cooked foods and meaningful conversation. The oversized island with its granite countertop can be used as a space to prepare meals, dine with others, spread out a buffet, or enjoy a snack. Chefs and entertainers will love all of the storage space that the custom cabinetry provides. The cabinets also feature soft-close drawers and doors, as well as under-mount lighting. The kitchen’s built-in double oven, gas stove top and extra-large French-door refrigerator give you the flexibility to scale your cooking up or down as needed.

Master En Suite

One of the best features of the Harbour Town II master bedroom is its large bay window and cozy reading nook. But one of the most-prized rooms in the home is the master bath. It features all of today’s must-haves, including raised vanities; matte, cultured marble countertops; lighted mirrors; an oversized master closet; and a zero-entry, doorless, tiled shower with rain shower head.

Custom Built Homes North Carolina-Loft

Retreat and Relax

The unique upstairs bonus room is a great space to get away, watch some TV or warm yourself by the fire. Yes, there is a second fireplace in the bonus room! It’s large enough to host overnight guests or a few friends for a game of cards. The open interior balcony to the foyer below doesn’t cut off the space from the rest of the home, yet still provides privacy. Your guests will love the upstairs outdoor balcony too!

Bring the Outdoors In

Living in the coastal Carolinas means that you get to enjoy sea breezes and beautiful, balmy weather year-round. One of the great features of the Harbour Town II design is that it makes use of every opportunity to integrate outdoor and indoor living spaces. In addition to the large covered front porch, there are two more covered areas around back. Off the second floor bonus room is a large covered deck, perfect for sipping a glass of wine as you watch the sunset. Off the kitchen and dining area on the first floor is a covered, screened-in porch. This area is perfect for dinning as it keeps out bugs that may be attracted by food. It’s also large enough for a dining table and sitting area. There is even a hardscape off the lower porch that is perfect for grilling or catching a few rays during the summer months.

Marvelous Masters at Catherine’s Cove

For most families, the master suite along with the kitchen and living area are the rooms where homeowners spend the majority of their time. At Hagood Homes we believe that the master suite should be designed with the right form and functional for day-to-day life as well as a space to relax and be refreshed. Troy Kenny has the innate ability to design master suites that incorporate aesthetically pleasing and functional elements, and simultaneously serve as an efficient use of space thanks to her meticulous attention to detail. This will allow Hagood homeowners to enjoy the benefits of a first floor master suite that matches their lifestyle and personal style.

An Elegant Retreat

The master suites created for Catherine’s Cove by Hagood Homes have many extras and upgrades that come standard. Some of these include lighted tray ceilings, zero entry walk in showers and lighted mirrors. Below are more features that Hagood homeowners have come to love!

Abundance of Natural Light

A few of the many benefits of natural light include reduced eye strain, stress and anxiety and increased happiness, energy and focus. A home overflowing with natural light is something that Hagood Homes takes pride in. Troy’s gifting enables us to design master suites (along with the rest of the home) with as many windows as possible. 6-foot, energy efficient low E and Argon gas filled windows allow natural light to flood the master suite during the day. We also include windows in the master bath.

Spacious and Boasting of Character

Our masters are designed to allow for ample furniture in the room as well as plenty of walkway space. The lighted tray ceiling compliments the room, adding both vertical space and character. Character continues with crown molding, oversized baseboards and window pediments to transform the master into a unique space, something Hagood Homes is known for.

Efficient Layout Enhancing Flow and Use of Space

Our master suites are craftily designed to be located in the back of the home with views of the quiet, private backyard. Regardless of guests or children in the home, the layout allows the master to be tucked away from the living areas for upmost serenity and comfort. In addition, the flow of the master bedroom, bath and closet appeals to homeowners as Troy draws the plans with efficient use of space in mind.

Lighted Mirrors

One of Hagood homeowners’ favorite features are the lighted mirrors in the master bath. Always looking for ways to improve, Troy discovered them in a trade show in Las Vegas a few years ago and ever since they have been included in each Hagood home. Unlike traditional mirrors, they do not fog after a steamy shower and are durable and energy efficient.

Zero-Entry Shower

Unlike traditional showers with a ledge or curb at the entrance, all Hagood Home master showers at Catherine’s Cove feature zero entry, smooth tiled floors. Not only does this reduce the risk of injury as it does not require stepping in or out of the shower, it is easy to clean and creates a more open feel as it seamlessly transitions to the rest of the tiled master bath.

Tiled Showers with Frameless Enclosures

In addition to zero entry, our master shower includes tiled walls and floors. Ideal for an on-the-go homeowner, tile is durable, stain and moisture resistant, easy to clean, and can also provide a safe non-slip surface.  Another included extra is the frameless glass enclosure that’s also easy to clean and compliments any tile choice of the homeowner.

Oversized Walk0in Master Closets

First impressions are made in the initial 10 seconds of meeting someone and we believe that success begins in the master closet. Ventilated wood shelving is durable and sturdy to hold all the ‘hats’ that you wear throughout the week. The ventilation between the wooden slats offers increased air circulations to keep clothes fresh and ready to put on in a moment’s notice.  Ventilated wood shelving is an included feature in all our master closets at Catherine’s Cove.

Suite Your Life and Style

While there are features that are included in all Hagood masters, our buyers have the opportunity to personalize their master suite to fit their lifestyle and personal style. Our team helps guide buyers so that refinements to the layout ensure optimal and efficient use of space, a seamless flow and maximum convenience.

During the selections process, our buyers have a one-on-one design consultation with a member of our team. At this time, selections are made to further personalize the fixtures, countertops, cabinetry, colors and finishes featured in the master suite. Our team is able to make recommendations to ensure that the master selections flow with the rest of the home and bring harmony to their space.

Area Guide: Wilmington & New Hanover County

From a historic riverfront along the Cape Fear to island beaches, Wilmington and the greater New Hanover County area enthrall visitors and residents alike. If you are new to the area or thinking of relocating, we invite you to explore all this area has to offer.

About the Area

Perhaps the biggest draw for new residents to the Wilmington and New Hanover County area is our beautiful beaches. But Wilmington’s vibrant downtown and midtown areas are equally popular for their big-city amenities with small town charm.

  • Wrightsville Beach – With crystal-clear water and white sandy beaches, Wrightsville Beach is truly one of the area’s cherished places. As you drive across the drawbridge onto the island, your troubles melt away with your first glimpse of water, sun and sand that seem to stretch for miles and miles. It’s a common sight to see yachts docked or boats pulling up to waterfront restaurants along this stretch of the Intracoastal Waterway. Surf shops and local watering holes line the streets of Wrightsville Beach, along with Roberts Grocery … you must try its famous chicken salad!
  • Carolina Beach – For a fun-filled experience with fair rides, fireworks and a beach boardwalk, spend the day at Carolina Beach, also known as Pleasure Island. Live music events and festivals occur throughout the year. It’s also the only beach in the area where you can go off-roading along the beachfront. For those looking to connect with nature, the island has miles of sandy trails and popular campgrounds, including Freeman Park (located on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean) and Carolina Beach State Park (located on the Cape Fear River).
  • Kure Beach & Fort Fisher – Just south of Carolina Beach, on the same island, you will find Kure Beach and Fort Fisher.
