      Since the debut of the Cape Lookout floorplan a little more than two years ago, it has become our number one-selling plan. You have to see the Cape Lookout model in person, and you’ll know exactly why homebuyers fall in love with it. It’s the perfect combination of coastal charm and modern design, bursting with Hagood Homes’ signature features.

      Cape Lookout is about 2,485 total square footage with 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, a bonus room, and a 2-car garage.

      A Welcoming Entry

      A large, covered and welcoming front porch is one low country architectural design feature that we love incorporating in our homes. With more than 245 square feet, the expansive front porch of the Cape Lookout can accommodate multiple rocking chairs with room to spare. The sloping roof, supported by columns, provides protection from the elements and makes the porch the perfect spot to greet guests, read a good book or enjoy a cocktail while watching the sunset.

      Open Floorplan with Split-Bedroom Layout

      The Cape Lookout’s open-concept living room, kitchen and dining room create an efficient and functional living space and floorplan. Mowhawk’s five-inch plank wood flooring extends throughout the common areas of the home, while custom wainscoting is featured in the foyer and dinning area. The kitchen features premium KitchenAid appliances, including double built-in ovens and a separate beverage cooler.       Dedicated Office Space

      One of the main layout features that differentiates the Cape Lookout from other plans is the main floor study, which is just off the foyer. In other plans, this space has served as a formal dining room. We received feedback from our clients that they rarely used the space for formal dining, so we updated the design. With its convenient location, the office is perfect for receiving clients or having a private space to work. Two full sets of French doors and large double-hung windows let natural light stream into the office. Tech Wood oak floors are also extended into the office.

      Where can you get the best food in coastal Carolina? Practically anywhere! From fine dining restaurants to quaint and casual eateries, the Cape Fear region is a foodie’s paradise. Even Yelp agrees. They named Wilmington one of the best 2022 Foodie cities in the U.S.

      We’re lucky to have some great restaurants conveniently located near our sales and design center – not to mention in close proximity to some of our amazing communities like Compass Pointe and The Bluffs on the Cape Fear. So, the next time you visit our beautiful coastal area, make sure you experience the food scene for yourself. With so many fabulous options to choose from, it will be hard to pick your favorite.       Patrick K’s favorite, True Blue, is a fine dining experience AND butcher shop. The True Blue brand has two locations. Near our sales center, the first location True Blue Butcher & Table, is in the Forum on Military Cutoff Road and is known for its amazing meats, from filet mignon to New York strip to pork chops and Japanese wagyu. You’ll always find amazing cuisine using the best ingredients in an elegant and energetic atmosphere. The second location, True Blue Butcher & Barrel, is near downtown on Greenfield Street, convenient to our Compass Pointe and The Bluffs on the Cape Fear communities.

      2. Ceviche’s

      Ceviche’s is a must-stop for Troy, co-founder and designer of every Hagood home, when she’s in town. The Panamanian-inspired cafe features Latin fare like Ropa Vieja, sancoho soup, and jerk shrimp skewers, just to name a few. This small neighborhood gathering spot on Wrightsville Avenue is also known for its tropical drink menu. They use only the freshest ingredients and the friendliest service!

      3. Tower 7 Baja Mexican Grill

      When you’re looking for a laid-back vibe with exceptional food, Tower 7 on Wrightsville Beach is a must – according to Josh! Tower 7 is a local favorite and features dishes with authentic and adventurous flavors inspired by Southern California cuisine, including the Yucatan Shrimp Quesadilla, Baha fish tacos, and the SoCal Carne burrito. And don’t forget the margaritas! Josh’s favorite is the Wannabe.

      4. Roko Italian Cuisine

      Our list would not be complete without an Italian restaurant! Roko is Patrick W’s favorite place to dine. Located at Mayfaire Town Center, it’s an intimate and casual-upscale dining experience – perfect for date night – and features eclectic dishes of seafood, steak, pasta, and salads, all made with the freshest local ingredients.

      5. Brasserie du Soleil

      If authentic French cuisine is your favorite, then you’re in for a treat at Brasserie du SoleilHannah’s recommendation. Located in Lumina Station on Eastwood Road, they have everything you might expect, including escargot, crepes, charred octopus, bouillabaisse, and a Brasserie salad, built your way! But, don’t forget dessert. Hannah’s favorite is the mini Crème Brûlée. They offer indoor and outdoor seating with lots of charming ambiance and attentive service.
